Soyeon, the leader of the group (G)I-DLE, revealed her feelings after Soojin left.
Soyeon met Winners Kang Seung Yoon, Kim Jin Woo, Lee Seung Hoon, Song Min Ho on JTBC’s ‘Artist’s Way’ broadcast on May 30th.
Kang Seung Yoon said, “Isn’t Soyeon known as your name through broadcasting (Mnet’s ‘Produce 101’) before your debut? I may have seen it,” indirectly referring to the commonalities of having a hiatus after a member left.
WINNER to which Kang Seung Yoon belongs had a hiatus of about a year after Nam Tae Hyun, who was a member of the group, left in 2016.
(G)I-DLE, to which Soyeon belongs, was reorganized into a five-member group after Soojin, who was a member of the group, left in August last year due to controversy over school violence.
Soyeon also said, “Actually, we had a big problem last year, so we had that thought at the time. We thought, ‘If a member leaves here, the team will be ruined.’ ” and expressed sympathy.
