Source Music and HYBE has entered the countdown for their new girl group’s debut. Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae Won from IZ*ONE are known to be joining, and the name of this girl group is “LE SSERAFIM“.
HYBE Labels released the team name by posting the official logo motion film of “LE SSERAFIM” on its official YouTube channel. Less than a day after the video was released, it received about 350,000 views, causing an explosive response.
“LESERAFIM” is an anagram of “IM FEARLESS” (a game of making new words or sentences by changing the arrangement of letters).
HYBE explained, “It implies self-confidence and strong will to move forward without fear without being swayed by the world’s gaze“.
Netizens responded to TheQoo in various ways, such as “It’s like the name of a dermatology procedure”, “It’s like a hair salon name”, “It’s like a medicine name”, “It’s like a game name”, and “It’s like a magic spell“.
“LESERAFIM” will be active with 6 members, including Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae Won from IZ*ONE, Huh Yoon Jin a Pledis trainee, and two former Source Music trainees. It is scheduled to debut in May.
