SHINee’s Onew is back on the scene and fans are all feels!
Back in June 2023, SM Entertainment broke the news that our beloved idol would be taking a break from the limelight for a while due to health issues.
Fans were understandably concerned after spotting his frail figure and were more than supportive of his recovery journey.
“Onew had to make a hospital visit due to some health problems and has since undergone a medical check-up and consultation. It was recommended that he needs some TLC and rest. Fast forward to almost a year later on April 20, 2024, he was seen at Incheon Airport looking fit as a fiddle. Fans were understandably teary-eyed, even more so the next day when he showed up on the red carpet of Mediacorp Entertainment’s Star Awards 2024.
This annual award show in Singapore is all about “honoring the crème de la crème and brightest stars in the local Chinese entertainment scene.”
Judging by the snaps and clips taken by those present, he looked healthy and was all smiles the whole time. He was grinning like a Cheshire cat and was super interactive with his fans.
SHAWOLs couldn’t contain their excitement, thrilled to see him at his first red carpet event in years. It was also notably his first public outing in 10 months since his break.
Not just content with walking the red carpet, he also wowed the crowd with a solo performance of his song “Your Scent.”
And to top it all off, he later presented an award, radiating confidence on stage, especially when he heard the cheers of his fans.
