Get ready for some major heart-fluttering moments as actors Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon‘s latest photo shoot and interview have just been released!
The dynamic duo teamed up for a fun and lively photo shoot with the fashion magazine ‘Elle‘. The shoot was all about capturing their vibrant chemistry, which we’ll get to see more of in their upcoming tvN drama ‘Lovely Runner‘, set to premiere on April 8th. The theme? Nothing less than the fresh and exciting love of youth.
Following the photo shoot, the pair sat down for an interview. In ‘Lovely Runner‘, Byeon Woo Seok plays Ryu Sunjae, a top star whose life takes a turn when his passionate fan, Im Sol, travels back in time to when she was nineteen. Speaking about his role, Byeon Woo Seok shared, “Beautiful scenes kept flashing in my mind. I knew I wanted to be Sunjae.”
He also had nothing but praise for his co-star Kim Hye Yoon, saying, “The drama was challenging to shoot, but seeing Hye Yoon’s bright smile on set made everything easier.”
When asked about the idea of going back in time to meet his first love, Byeon Woo Seok confessed, “I wouldn’t want to go back. I fear that my precious childhood memories might lose their color. I want to cherish them as they are for a lifetime.”
Meanwhile, Kim Hye Yoon, who plays the role of Im Sol, opened up about her experience working on the drama. She admitted, “The script was intriguing. I felt a good kind of pressure wondering if I could portray ‘Sol’ well.”
She also revealed that the drama and the original web novel both challenged her with the task of ‘acting in her 30s‘, the oldest age she’s ever portrayed.
Speaking about her connection with her character, she said, “Sol changes her fate and finds a new will to live by being a fan of her favorite star, Sunjae. I deeply empathized with the fans’ hearts while playing Sol. Their letters always touch me, and playing Sol made me understand their feelings even more. The stories we’ve built together are truly precious to me.”
