NewJeans‘s Minji recently received a compliment from renowned athlete Hwang Hee Chan, and she had a response to share.
On the 14th, SPOTV released a video featuring Son Heung Min and Hwang Hee Chan, famous Korean soccer players who had recently faced each other in the Premier League.
In the video, the two players took the time to answer various questions related to Korea. Son Heung-min was asked about the type of music he listens to frequently, and he promptly answered, “BTS.” On the other hand, Hwang Hee Chan humorously remarked, “This is difficult. I listen to so much music that if I were to talk about it all, I wouldn’t finish today.”
When questioned about Chuncheon, a region in Korea, Son Heung Min appeared hesitant before mentioning several things related to the area.
Hwang Hee Chan, in contrast, proudly declared that Son Heung Min is from Chuncheon and then shyly added that NewJeans‘s Minji is a source of pride for the region.
Afterwards, the news of Hwang Hee Chan‘s comment was conveyed to Minji through NewJeans‘s communication app, Phoning. In response, Minji said, “Am I really the pride of Chuncheon? That’s too much praise.”
