NewJeans Surpasses 500 Million Spotify Streams for Fourth Time with Hit Track “Super Shy”

NewJeans continues to make waves in the music industry as their song ‘Super Shy’ achieves a remarkable milestone, surpassing 500 million streams on Spotify.

Released as one of the triple title tracks of NewJeans‘s second EP ‘Get Up’, ‘Super Shy’ has garnered immense popularity since its release in July last year.

Known for its catchy jersey club rhythm and exciting beat base, the song quickly made its mark on both national and international charts.

‘Super Shy’ has achieved impressive rankings on various global charts, including reaching the 2nd position on the US Billboard ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global (excluding the US)’, as well as securing the 4th place on Spotify Global ‘Daily Top Song’ and the 9th place on Spotify US ‘Daily Top Song’. It also broke NewJeans‘s own records by spending 8 weeks on the Billboard ‘Hot 100’ chart and 9 weeks on the UK’s official singles chart ‘Top 100’, peaking at 48th and 52nd place, respectively.

This achievement adds to NewJeans‘s already impressive track record on Spotify, with all songs from their three albums entering the Spotify billion-streaming class. Songs like ‘OMG’, ‘Ditto’, ‘Hype Boy’, and now ‘Super Shy’ have surpassed 500 million streams each, while others like ‘Attention’, ‘Cookie’, ‘New Jeans’, and ‘ETA’ have crossed the 200 million mark. In total, the cumulative number of Spotify streams for all NewJeans songs has exceeded 4 billion.

As fans eagerly anticipate new music from the group, the pre-sale for NewJeans‘ upcoming double single ‘How Sweet’ will begin on April 26.

The double single, set to release on May 24, will feature the title track ‘How Sweet’ along with the song ‘Bubble Gum’.

With their consistent success and growing fanbase, NewJeans continues to solidify their position as a powerhouse in the music industry.
