Kim Soo Hyun shocks viewers with an unexpected acting transformation in Episode 11 of ‘Queen of Tears’

[SPOILER ALERT]

Kim Soo Hyun is making waves with his impressive acting skills.

In the weekend drama ‘Queen of Tears‘ on tvN, Kim Soo Hyun is earning praise for his immersive portrayal of his character in every episode.

Kim Soo Hyun, who plays the character ‘Baek Hyun Woo‘, initially charmed viewers with his endearing and somewhat quirky personality. As the drama unfolded, he won over hearts with his warm and suave demeanor.

He also moved audiences with his emotional range, expressing feelings of regret, apology, relief, and deep emotion in each episode, thus leaving a strong impression as ‘Baek Hyun Woo‘.

In the episode aired on April 13, Kim Soo Hyun delivered a powerful ending with his chilling dual-role performance. The plot thickened when Hong Hae In (played by Kim Ji Won), whose health was deteriorating, mistook Yoon Eun Sung (played by Park Sung Hoon) for Baek Hyun Woo and got into his car.

Feeling threatened by a car chasing them, she attempted to call the police, only to be shocked when she realized that the man who stepped out of the car was Baek Hyun Woo, and the man next to her was actually Yoon Eun Sung.

On that day, Kim Soo Hyun brought a major twist to the drama by playing Yoon Eun Sung, who Hong Hae In had mistaken for Baek Hyun Woo. The subtle changes in gaze, expression, and tone between the real and fake Baek Hyun Woo made the character next to Hong Hae In seem off.

Kim Soo Hyun, who heightened the tension, then appeared as the real Baek Hyun Woo, showing intense emotions towards both Hong Hae In and Yoon Eun Sung, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.

Viewers responded enthusiastically, with comments like “Kim Soo Hyun’s acting was off the charts”, “What an epic ending”, “Incredible acting, playing two different characters with the same face”, “I knew Kim Soo Hyun was a great actor, but this is next level”, “It was even more spine-chilling when he revealed he wasn’t Baek Hyun Woo just with his eyes”.
