A week ago, Junyoung of ZE:A made headlines with the announcement of his upcoming wedding in September.

However, amidst the celebratory news, the singer has found himself embroiled in controversy due to recent statements regarding legal actions against the spread of rumors and harmful comments.

On April 8, Junyoung took to his social media to address the issue, declaring his intention to pursue stringent legal measures against individuals responsible for spreading false rumors and posting malicious comments.

He emphasized, “Legal action has been initiated against high school students who have spread unauthorized false information. The content circulating on anonymous platforms is unequivocally untrue. We will adopt a stringent approach, showing no tolerance towards personal IDs, anonymous communities, and any posts that include malicious comments or the propagation of false information online.”

Junyoung went on to explain, “Even if the dissemination of false information does not constitute defamation, individuals intentionally spreading such misinformation with the intent to damage reputations can be held accountable for obstructing business.”

However, his statement has drawn criticism, particularly due to the hashtag he included at the top of his post. He prominently featured the late Lee Sun Kyun‘s name (##이선균) in a large font, prompting backlash from some netizens.

Korean netizens commented, “He’s crossing the line,” “He shouldn’t have named Lee Sun Kyun’s name,” “Please don’t use the dead’s name and get married quietly,” “Fools are the ones who are courageous,” “Wow, is he crazy?” and “He shouldn’t have mentioned the deceased like this?”
