“Can He Sell Out the Tickets?”— K-netizens Analyze Taeyong’s Solo Concert News Ticket Selling Potential

SM Entertainment said on January 25 that Taeyong will be back to working alone with a new mini-album and a solo show.

The agency says that Taeyong‘s second mini album will come out on February 26 and that he will have a solo show at Olympic Hall in Seoul from February 24th and 25th.

Today, the facts of Taeyong‘s first concert by himself were made public. The information says that VIP tickets (standing) cost 198,000 KRW (about 148.08 USD) and normal tickets (standing and sitting) cost 154,000 KRW (about 115.19 USD).

People in a famous online community talked about this announcement and left comments wondering if Taeyong would be able to fill the hall.

They said, “Don’t you need to be at Taeyeon, Taemin, or Baekhyun level to do solo concerts in SM Entertainment?,” “Can Taeyong get everyone to sit down?” “I’m not asking with bad intentions; I’m just really interested,” “Can he sell out that venue?,” “The hall is probably small so who would pay 198,000 for the VIP seats when there won’t be much difference with the 154,000 KRW seat,” “I’m guess this is his last promotion before he enlists in the mandatory military service,” she said. “No offense but does he have enough solo songs to do a solo concert?”
