Hypebae Crowns “Jennie for Calvin Klein” the Ultimate Fashion Collaboration of the Year

Fashion magazine Hypebae just released its “Hypebae Best” list for 2023. This list celebrates the best fashion trends, brands, designers, and partnerships.

Five of them are chosen as the “Best Collaborations.” “Jennie for Calvin Klein” was one of them, along with “Nike x Jacquemus,” “Wales Bonner x adidas,” “Aries x Juicy Couture,” and “Nike x Martine Rose.”

When talking about their choice, Hypebae says that Jennie is like King Midas from Greek mythology because “everything she touches turns to gold.”

“For proof, look at her first project with Calvin Klein, which was a small line of underwear and loungewear that was only available for a short time.

The collaboration came with a set of marketing photos featuring Jennie, and it seemed like the start of a new era for the BLACKPINK star as it happened at the same time as her acting debut on HBO’s The Idol, the magazine said.

Also, in May, the “Jennie for Calvin Klein” collaboration collection went popular because most of the items sold out in less than 10 minutes.

However, on the day that “Jennie for Calvin Klein” came out, Calvin Klein’s website either crashed from too many visitors in South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, China, the US, Germany, and many other places, or it went into a “lagging” stage.

A bunch of young people also stood in line in front of Calvin Klein shops to try to get Jennie‘s viral collaborations.
