BLACKPINK Set to Renew Their Contracts with YG Entertainment
One of the most popular K-pop girl groups, BLACKPINK, is set to renew their contracts with YG Entertainment.
According to a report by Star News on April 4th, all four members of the group – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa – are leaning towards renewing their contracts with the label, which is set to expire at the end of August.
Sources close to the group have said that unless there are any special circumstances, BLACKPINK intends to continue their relationship with YG Entertainment.
It is believed that the group’s ongoing success and the impact of their world tour have played a role in their decision.
BLACKPINK is currently in the midst of the largest K-pop girl group world tour, which has seen them meet over 1.5 million fans worldwide.
Last year, the group successfully completed 14 shows in 7 North American cities and 10 shows in 7 European cities, and they are currently meeting fans in Asia.
They are also scheduled to perform as headliners at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the U.S. in mid-April and the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park in July.
