Irene of Red Velvet was recently asked by a fan in a video call fansign event who her favorite girl group members were, and she named BLACKPINK as one of them!
BLACKPINK and Red Velvet are two of the best 3rd-gen girl groups.
They are close friends, even though they aren’t often photographed together.
A fan wanted to know more about how close the two famous groups were, so they played a game with Irene in which the fan named a K-Pop group and questioned Irene to mention her favorite member from that group.
Aespa, a girl group from SM Entertainment, was one among the groups the fan mentioned.
Red Velvet and aespa recently worked together on a holiday single called “Beautiful Christmas.“
This gave them a chance to spend more time with each other.
Aespa couldn’t pick a favorite member because she thinks they’re all cute.
When Irene was asked about BLACKPINK, she had one member in mind as her favorite.
Irene has said before that it’s hard for her to get close to individuals but a member of BLACKPINK greeted her sweetly at a hair salon and quickly won Irene‘s heart.
Irene named her best friend Jennie when asked about BLACKPINK.
They have a well-known friendship and have even been seen together in other countries.
In 2019, they were seen getting a meal together in Los Angeles and were caught “fighting” for the bill in a funny and cute way.
Irene naming BLACKPINK as her favorite band wasn’t the only thing that went viral during her recent fan calls.
