Actress Kim Go Eun wins ‘Best Actress Award’ at 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, “Exhuma was my healing journey”

Kim Go Eun, the actress who dared to take on the role of a shaman in the movie ‘Exhuma‘, has just bagged the Best Actress Award. Talk about a win!

The ‘60th Baeksang Arts Awards‘ was a star-studded event held at COEX D Hall in Seoul on May 7th. With Shin Dong Yeop, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum rocking the stage as MCs, the event was a grand celebration of TV, movie, and theater stars who made waves in the past year.

The spotlight of the Best Actress Award in the film category was stolen by none other than Kim Go Eun. She won hearts with her portrayal of shaman Lee Hwa Rim in ‘Exhuma‘.

Overwhelmed with emotions, Kim Go Eun said, “I’m so grateful for this award and a huge thanks to Director Jang Jae Hyun for trusting me with Hwa Rim. ‘Exhuma‘ brings back memories of joy.”

She added, “Last year was tough, but working on ‘Exhuma‘ was like a healing journey that brought happiness back into my life“.

She added, “I always approach my work with gratitude, but ‘Exhuma’ made me realize the joy of acting more than ever.A big shout-out to the ‘Mysterious Avengers‘ (Choi Min Sik, Kim Go Eun, Yoo Hae Jin, Lee Do Hyun). I promise to work even harder,” she said, holding back tears.
