BTS V continues to prove his worldwide popularity as a global icon.
According to the global fandom platform ‘UPICK’ on the 28th, BTS V secured the 1st place in the monthly ‘Best Pick’ vote for June.
V earned this honor by maintaining a top position in the ‘Pick of the Month’ rankings from the 1st to the 20th, accumulating a total of 168,004,339 votes. His achievement underscores the strong support of ARMY (BTS fandom) and BTS‘s unmatched popularity, with Jimin and Jin also ranking 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In recognition of his 1st place, V will receive a special badge on ‘UPICK’ and a New York Times Square advertisement. This is V‘s second special badge, having previously topped ‘Best Pick’ in March.
Artists who earn three special badges on ‘UPICK’ receive the largest advertising package in the world.
Despite being in military service, V continues to show his love for fans through various prepared contents, including the upcoming release of his photobook ‘TYPE 1’ on July 9th. Currently, except for Jin, BTS members are fulfilling their military duties, and fans are eagerly anticipating the full BTS lineup to reunite in 2025.
Meanwhile, ‘UPICK’ has been selected as the official voting app for the ‘2024 K-World Dream Awards’. Voting for popularity awards will start in early July, alongside ticket events for fans, leading up to the awards ceremony on August 22nd at Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena.
