BTS’s Jin Faces Inappropriate Behavior During Hug Event, Sparking Anger Among ARMY

BTS‘s Jin, who organized a special event for fans who waited for him during his military service, faced inappropriate behavior from some fans, causing anger among the ARMY (fandom).

After being discharged from the military on June 12th, Jin attended the ‘2024 FESTA’ on the 13th, commemorating BTS‘s 11th debut anniversary.

The event began with Jin hosting a hug event for 1000 ARMYs at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium at 3 PM. Wearing a “Hug Me” sign around his neck, Jin sincerely hugged each fan.

Most fans hugged Jin in an orderly manner and then left the venue, but a few fans engaged in unexpected behavior, such as trying to kiss him, which caused discomfort.

Jin appeared momentarily flustered and quickly pulled away, but he soon regained his composure and continued to welcome the next fan.

Jin said, “I thought this event would be fun and exciting when planning it, and it turned out to be even more fun and exciting than I expected. I wish I had more bodies so I could hug more people, but I’m a bit disappointed that I could only hug 1000. Still, if I have the chance, I would like to do this again at least once more before I die,” expressing his gratitude to the fans.

Later that evening at 8 PM, Jin will spend time with 4000 fans at the same venue through the event ‘Seokjin on June 13, 2024: Clear Skies,’ which will include singing and interaction with the fans.
