NewJeans creator Min Hee Jin soars as ADOR’s second biggest shareholder with a whopping 110 billion KRW in sales

Min Hee Jin, the powerhouse behind the group NewJeans and the representative of their agency ADOR, has now stepped up as ADOR‘s second-largest shareholder.

As per the 2023 audit report of ADOR, disclosed on April 8 via the Financial Supervisory Service‘s electronic disclosure system, Min Hee Jin holds an impressive 18% (573,160 shares) of ADOR‘s stock, making her the second-largest shareholder.

Min Hee Jin secured her shares by exercising the call option she held at the time of ADOR‘s inception. The majority shareholder, HYBE, holds a hefty 80% stake, while the remaining 2% is reportedly held by other ADOR executives. In 2023, ADOR hit the headlines with sales reaching 110.3 billion won and an operating profit of 33.5 billion won.

Min Hee Jin‘s journey began in 2002 when she joined SM Entertainment and made her mark by contributing to the album production of big names like Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x), and more. In 2019, she transitioned to the role of Chief Brand Officer (CBO) of HYBE and took the reins of ADOR, a label under HYBE.

Having achieved remarkable success as the overall producer of the group NewJeans, Min Hee Jin was recognized in the ‘Women who influenced the global entertainment industry‘ list by the American entertainment media Variety in 2002.

She was also honored with the Presidential Commendation in the Overseas Expansion Merit category at the ‘2023 Korea Content Awards‘ ceremony.

Adding another feather to her cap, she bagged the Producer Award at the ‘38th Golden Disk Awards‘ this past January.
