CELINE and BVLGARI Weibo accounts remove BLACKPINK’s Lisa related posts

Lisa, the global ambassador for luxury labels Bvlgari and Celine, has recently faced controversy as posts and images featuring her have been removed from the brands’ Weibo accounts.

This issue arose after Lisa‘s Weibo account was abruptly taken down, leading to speculation about Chinese restrictions on promoting lewd and indecent performances.

The controversy emerged following Lisa‘s performance at the Parisian cabaret ‘Crazy Horse’ in September, which raised concerns about potential clashes with the content standards of the Chinese platform.

Following the deletion of Lisa‘s Weibo account, it was observed that Bvlgari and Celine, the brands she represents, also started removing all content related to her from their Weibo pages.

At present, Bvlgari and Celine have not provided an official statement or explanation regarding the removal of Lisa‘s content from their Weibo accounts.

Korean netizens have expressed their opinions, with some stating that “she got what she asked for.” Others believe that the controversy might not have been as significant since Lisa is a foreign star.

There were also remarks about China’s strict regulations and speculation that Weibo may have warned the brands to remove the content.

Some netizens believe that Lisa should not have performed at the strip club, suggesting that she brought this situation upon herself. Overall, opinions reflect a belief in the consequences of one’s actions.
