“Why does Rei have to do that?” — IVE’s “HEYA” Choreography Raises Eyebrows Over One Particular Move

IVE’s latest comeback with “I’ve Switch” and its title track “HEYA” has been stirring up some mixed feelings.

While their vocals are, as always, hitting all the right notes, the choreography for the song has been getting a bit of a mixed bag of opinions.

The group recently performed “HEYA” on Studio Choom. Their styling in the video, and for this comeback in general, has been well-received, but there’s one specific part of the choreography that’s been drawing more criticism than the rest.

The part in question comes near the end of the song, when Gaeul takes center stage. While she’s totally nailing her part, there’s an awkward transition where Rei has to quickly move behind the other members to get to her next position.

The clip was shared on Twitter and has already racked up over 1.1 million views. Fans are questioning why the choreography was designed in such a way that Rei has to run so far, instead of slightly shifting Liz and Yujin so she doesn’t have to rush.

Most of the blame is being placed on the choreographers rather than the members themselves.

The moment has also sparked discussions on various forums, with fans sharing similar comments and criticisms.

Stay tuned for more updates on IVE!
