BLACKPINK Lisa’s Social Media Account Removed

BLACKPINK‘s Lisa recently experienced the deletion of her Weibo account in China. The abrupt disappearance of Lisa‘s Weibo account happened on November 1st, with a message popping up that read, “This account can no longer be viewed due to reports of violations of laws, regulations, and Weibo community agreements.”

Speculations arose among internet users surrounding the deletion, linking it to Lisa‘s recent involvement in the “Crazy Horse Show” held in Paris, France last month.

The “Crazy Horse” show is renowned in Paris for its utilization of light and illumination on the unclothed female form, which has sparked debates on matters of sexualization.

China has strict regulations against the promotion of explicit and indecent performances, in accordance with the China Performing Arts Association rules.

Therefore, Lisa‘s participation in the “Crazy Horse” show is widely believed to be the primary cause behind the removal of her Weibo account.

Coincidentally, BLACKPINK, the group Lisa is a member of, celebrated their 7th anniversary of their debut in August.

As of now, the decision pertaining to BLACKPINK‘s contract renewal with YG Entertainment is still pending.
