BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON reportedly left YG Entertainment and is now under Warner Music

K-pop superstar BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon, has made a big move in his career.

On September 30th, G-Dragon took to his private social media to post a series of selfies, giving fans a glimpse into his personal life. These pictures didn’t come with any fancy captions, but there’s one that caught everyone’s attention: a photo of a billboard that simply says “WELCOMES G-DRAGON.”

This billboard is linked to recent reports from September 28th, revealing that G-Dragon was joining Warner Music.

It was reported that he had visited Warner Music Records‘ office in Los Angeles, California. Warner Music Records is a big deal in the music industry, ranking among the top three global music groups.

Shortly after these reports, pictures of billboards with the message “WELCOME G-DRAGON” and more of G-Dragon‘s selfies started popping up online. These billboards appeared to be near Warner Music Records’ headquarters.

Additionally, G-Dragon’s name appeared on a search portal site under Warner Music artists, and he even liked a social media post about it. All these signs led fans to speculate that G-Dragon had indeed joined Warner Music, aligning with the official announcement.

G-Dragon has been keeping busy in the music scene this year, hinting at a solo comeback. In a video he shared in January to welcome the new year, he promised to come back with new music and good news.

In May, rumors circulated about G-Dragon parting ways with YG Entertainment, as his name was missing from YG‘s 2023 Q1 artist list. YG clarified that his exclusive contract had ended, but they were still working together for various activities. They expressed their support for his future music endeavors.

As we enter October and move into the second half of 2023, there’s no official news yet about G-Dragon‘s solo album release.

However, fans are eagerly awaiting updates, especially if he’s charting a new path. The anticipation is high to see what G-Dragon has in store for the future and how he’ll continue to captivate global K-pop fans. Stay tuned!
