A surprising motive has emerged regarding the recent blackmail case involving actor Lee Sun Gyun and a woman in her 20s, identified as ‘A.’
The YouTuber Caracula Crime Lab shared a revealing interview with a fraud victim targeted by ‘A,’ shedding light on the desperate situation that led her to commit the crime.
According to the interview posted on January 5th, ‘A‘ was facing charges of fraud and needed money after severing ties with her biological father. To secure funds, she resorted to blackmailing Lee Sun Gyun, seeking a settlement.
The victim, who fell prey to ‘A‘s fraud, disclosed, “She scammed me out of more than 91.5 million won, borrowing money under the pretense of a business investment. ‘A’ threatened me, emphasizing that if she went to jail, repayment would be impossible. She proposed settling for 20 million won upfront, promising to repay the remaining amount later.”
In the midst of this, Lee Sun Gyun‘s funeral took place on December 29th at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The actor’s wife, actress Jeon Hye Jin, and other grieving family members attended the ceremony, along with numerous celebrities who bid their final farewells.
