IU is showing some serious love for actress Yum Hye Ran!

On April 18, IU appeared on the YouTube channel Baek Eun Ha’s Give and Take, where she shared some touching stories from working together on the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines (폭싹 속았수다).

IU revealed,
"I only had two scenes with Yum Hye Ran sunbaenim, but I like her so much that I kept peeking around the set just to watch her."

She even admitted that she would sneak over to see Yum Hye Ran filming her scenes, just because she admired her so much!

IU added,
"Sunbaenim doesn’t talk much. Even when we were filming together, she hardly said anything, but I actually really liked that about her," showing how much she respects Yum Hye Ran’s quiet but powerful presence.

Talking about one dream-like scene they shared, IU said,
"Just seeing sunbaenim made my eyes tear up. But then she would suddenly say something like, 'The woman next door bought a motorbike,' and I’d be like, 'Huh?' and my tears would just stop," she laughed.

IU confessed she never had the courage to tell Yum Hye Ran how much she loved her, saying,
"I really, really like her. I didn’t think I would get the chance to be in the same frame with her so soon."
She also shared a sweet behind-the-scenes moment:
"Even though the script didn’t ask for tears, I just ended up crying. Even just seeing her hair blow in the wind made my heart ache."

Baek Eun Ha also had nothing but praise for Yum Hye Ran, saying,
"She’s not only technically amazing, but she acts with her whole heart in every moment."

Meanwhile, other stars like Park Myung Soo and actor Yoo Hae Jin have also shared that they cried while watching Yum Hye Ran’s performance in When Life Gives You Tangerines. It looks like Yum Hye Ran’s powerful acting has touched everyone, including IU.
