Bibi is making waves as the new model for Uniqlo, marking a major milestone in the fashion world!
On April 15, the Japanese brand Uniqlo revealed their Spring/Summer 2025 campaign featuring none other than the singer and actress Bibi.
In the ad, Bibi confidently rocked Uniqlo's popular bra tops, showcasing her unique style and bold charm that have earned her a loyal fan base.

A representative from Uniqlo shared their excitement, saying, "Bibi’s strong, individual charisma will resonate with women everywhere. Her styling photos will truly highlight the appeal of Uniqlo’s bra tops."
But what makes this campaign even more remarkable is the fact that Bibi is the first Korean celebrity to model for Uniqlo in over 6 years. This comes after the infamous 'No Japan' boycott, which was sparked by rising tensions between South Korea and Japan. The boycott saw Uniqlo, one of Japan's leading brands, take a huge hit, with major stores in places like Myeongdong and Hongdae closing down.
The boycott had its peak in 2019, following Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s decision to increase export restrictions to South Korea. Uniqlo, like many other Japanese brands, struggled during this period. However, over the last year, Uniqlo has been making a strong recovery, seeing a 5.3% sales growth and hitting 1.6 trillion KRW in sales.
Uniqlo's comeback has been significant, with the brand reaching an operating profit of 148.1 billion KRW. Now, with Bibi on board, all eyes are on how her collaboration will impact Uniqlo’s image, as they aim to reassert their position in the competitive SPA industry.
Bibi, who made her debut as a singer in 2019 with the hit song "Soap," has been rising in popularity ever since. Her recent track "Bamyanggaeng," released in February, gained attention from fans worldwide. Beyond music, Bibi has ventured into acting, starring in the 2023 film Hwaran and in the role of Goo Ja Young in SBS’s Hot Blood Priest 2. It’s clear that this multi-talented artist is only just getting started.
