• Stray Kids Make History Again with Platinum Certification in Japan and Fans Say: “This is just the beginning!”

Stray Kids are once again showing their global power, this time with a big win in Japan!

On April 10, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) officially gave Platinum certification to Stray Kids' 2nd Japanese single “Scars / Thunderous - Japanese ver.” The single, which was released in October 2021, has now shipped over 250,000 copies — proving just how much love the group continues to receive in Japan.

This is not the first time Stray Kids impressed with their Japanese releases. Their 2nd full Japanese album “GIANT,” which dropped in November 2024, already got a Double Platinum certification for over 500,000 shipments, showing their growing power.

“Scars / Thunderous - Japanese ver.” was already a hit when it first came out, grabbing spots #1 to #4 on Tower Records’ daily chart in Japan. The title track “Scars” topped the iTunes charts in 32 countries, and even ranked #1 on the iTunes USA K-pop chart and Line Music Japan’s Weekly Top 100.

Their popularity doesn’t stop there. Felix recently teamed up with Japanese singer LiSA for her song “ReawakeR (feat. Felix of Stray Kids),” released in March. The song has taken over the charts, topping Billboard Japan’s “Global Japan Songs Excluding Japan” for six weeks straight. It even reached #1 in seven countries, including Germany, the UK, and Malaysia, and kept the #1 spot in Germany for nine weeks in a row. It also scored #1 on Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales” chart in the U.S. on March 8.

Stray Kids are also winning big with their dominATE world tour. After finishing their Mexico City shows on April 12–13, they’re now heading to Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa in Japan for four solo concerts on May 10–11 and 17–18. This comes after they pulled 315,000 fans to their dome concerts in Tokyo and Osaka last year.

Their tour will cover 55 shows in 34 cities, with a goal of drawing 2.2 million fans — which could set the record for the biggest K-pop tour audience ever.

Stray Kids aren’t just popular — they’re rewriting history.

  • Park Bo Gum shows he is good with money as his Jongno apartment rises by 500 million won in just one year and sets a new record

Park Bo Gum is not just a talented actor — he’s showing he’s smart with money too!

The star of Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines (폭싹 속았수다) recently made headlines after the value of his apartment jumped by a whopping 500 million won (about 370,000 USD) in just one year.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s real estate transaction records revealed on the 19th, the apartment where Park Bo Gum lives — an 84㎡ unit in Gyeonghuigung Ja-i Complex 2 in Hongpa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul — was sold for a record-breaking 2.54 billion won on March 21st. The unit is located on the 11th floor.

When you compare it to last year’s prices, which ranged from 1.95 billion to 2.05 billion won, that’s a massive increase of about 500 million won!

Gyeonghuigung Ja-i is known as a luxury apartment complex inside Seoul’s historic Four Great Gates area. It’s super close to popular spots like Gwanghwamun, City Hall, and Seodaemun Station on Subway Line 5 — making it really easy to get to hot places like Yeouido, Mapo, and even Gangnam through Line 3’s Dongnimmun Station.

It’s reported that Park Bo Gum moved there back in 2019 after leaving Mokdong in Yangcheon-gu, choosing Gyeonghuigung Ja-i mainly for its perfect location near his work spots.

Other units in the same complex have also been seeing crazy price jumps! A 59㎡ unit recently sold for 1.85 billion won (15th floor) last month, and a 101㎡ unit was sold for 2.73 billion won (7th floor) in February.

An insider from the real estate industry said, "Apartments near palaces will likely stay in high demand because of their historic meaning, the beautiful city surroundings, and great transportation."

Looks like Park Bo Gum definitely made a smart move with this one.
