• Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jong Won’s new horror movie might be too scary to watch alone

Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jong Won are officially teaming up for a brand-new horror movie — and fans are already buzzing with excitement!

On April 15, the movie Salmokji (working title) confirmed that Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jong Won will be starring as the lead roles. The film is now getting ready to start full-scale filming in May.

Salmokji is a horror film that follows a video production team sent to a quiet reservoir to update road view footage — but things take a terrifying turn when they spot a mysterious figure in the water. What starts as a normal job quickly becomes a nightmare as dark forces begin to appear.

Kim Hye Yoon, who became a household name thanks to her hit drama Lovely Runner, will be showing a whole new side of herself in this movie. She plays Soo In, a woman who gets caught up in strange and unexplainable events while on a business trip to the reservoir.

Fans know Kim Hye Yoon for her emotional acting and charm, and many are now calling her the next “horror queen.” Her past work in The Girl on a Bulldozer even earned her “Best New Actress” awards at the Blue Dragon and Grand Bell Awards — so expectations are high.

Joining her in the spooky adventure is actor Lee Jong Won, who will play Ki Tae, a man who helps Soo In uncover the mystery at the heart of the reservoir. This will be Lee Jong Won’s first horror film and also his first time leading a commercial movie, so fans are excited to see his transformation on the big screen.

Lee Jong Won has already impressed viewers with his wide range of acting in dramas like Knight Flower, Drunken in Love, and more. His strong presence and emotional performances make him a perfect match for this intense role.

The movie will be directed by Lee Sang Min, known for his award-winning short films like Revolver and The Drenched Shaman. Production is being handled by The Lamp, the same company that brought us hits like A Taxi Driver and Samjin Company English Class — so expectations are already sky-high.

With the cast officially confirmed, Salmokji is set to begin filming in May. Will Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Jong Won deliver the next big horror hit? Fans can’t wait to find out.
