• Ji Ye Eun reveals shocking reason she was afraid to get close to BTS’s Jin

Ji Ye Eun recently shared the honest reasons behind her initial hesitation to approach BTS's Jin while working together on Netflix’s The Backpacker Chef: Ulleungdo Edition.

At a press conference for the variety show Daehwanjang Gihwanjang (also known as Gihwanjang) held on April 15 at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Seoul, Ji Ye Eun opened up about her thoughts on working with the world-famous star. She revealed that, initially, she felt uncomfortable approaching Jin because of his massive popularity.

Ji Ye Eun confessed, “Since Jin is from BTS, it felt hard to approach him. I was worried people might curse at me just for being next to him, so I tried to keep my distance. I really like BTS too, but part of me was like, ‘What should I do?’ So I tried to stay away.”

However, things quickly changed once they started working together. Ji Ye Eun explained, “But in that space, it wasn’t possible to keep a distance. We got close really fast, and Jin treated me comfortably and openly.”

Jin, hearing this, responded with a thoughtful comment, saying, “A lot of people who meet me for the first time think they’ll get hate if they’re linked with BTS, so it’s hard for them to approach. That’s why I try to go over-the-top and approach them first.”

The show, which launched its first three episodes on April 8, follows Kian84, Jin, and Ji Ye Eun as they run a guesthouse on Ulleungdo Island. Filled with unexpected and fun situations, the series is already gaining attention for its heartwarming moments and interactions.

This candid confession from Ji Ye Eun reveals the pressure that comes with being associated with BTS, while also showing Jin's thoughtful side in breaking the ice.

Fans of both stars are excited to see their growing friendship on the show.

  • Fans lose it after seeing IU, Kim Seon Ho, and more "When Life Gives You Tangerines" stars reunite at one special event

The When Life Gives You Tangerines cast melted fans’ hearts once again — this time off-screen!

On April 15, the VIP premiere of the film Yadang took place at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and it quickly turned into a Poksak reunion.

The event was already buzzing with big names like Uhm Tae Woong (who made his first appearance in 8 years), Lee Min Ho, Ha Ji Won, Lee Joo Young, Hyeri, Lee Yu Bi, Kim Sung Kyun, and even Single’s Inferno 4's Lee Si An.

But the surprise appearance of severalWhen Life Gives You Tangerines cast members made fans super emotional.

IU, who played Gwansik’s daughter Geum Myeong in the Netflix series, was spotted quietly entering the theater wearing a mask. A fan who noticed her shared a photo, writing, “Poksak daughter Geum Myeong is here!”

Kim Seon Ho also showed up and quickly got attention. Fans recognized him despite the mask and commented, “Chung Seop is here too!” and “Park Hae Joon’s son-in-law came!” Kim Seon Ho made a special appearance in the series as Geum Myeong’s husband.

Kang Yoo Seok, who played Eun Myeong Yi (Gwansik’s son), also came to support his on-screen dad. Fans left sweet comments like “The son is so thoughtful!”

And of course, Choi Dae Hoon — better known as “Hak Ssi Ahjussi” — made fans smile with his bright energy. People couldn’t stop talking about him, saying things like “He came to see his in-laws’ movie,” and “The whole When Life Gives You Tangerines family is here!”

Before the event, Park Hae Joon shared in an interview with Xports News that he wasn’t sure who would show up, saying, “Everyone’s really busy, so it depends on the situation. But I’d be really happy if we could meet again after a long time.”

Well, they did meet again — and fans couldn’t be happier.

In Poksak, Park Hae Joon played the loving father Gwansik, but in Yadang, he takes on a much tougher role as a drug squad detective who never gives up on catching criminals. His transformation is already gaining attention from fans eager to see him in a new light.

Meanwhile, Yadang officially hit theaters on April 16.
