NewJeans has finally spoken up after fans noticed their sudden SNS wipeout — and their message brought tears to many.
On April 10, the members of NewJeans returned to social media through their individual SNS accounts after deleting all previous posts from their shared NJZ account.
Fans were quick to notice the new username, mhdhh_friends, believed to represent the initials of the five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.
This marks their first message to fans since the recent controversy surrounding their label ADOR and the group’s ongoing contract issues. In their heartfelt post, the girls opened up about their current emotions, especially the comfort they've received from fans.
They wrote,
“Hi Bunnies! We received the letters you sent!! So touching, it made me cryㅠㅠ. Each and every letter is so precious, I read them every day without missing a single one.”
They went on to share their honest feelings,
“Your comforting words, encouragement, and love… I couldn’t stop cryingㅠㅠ. Sometimes I wonder if I even deserve all this love. So I’m trying harder to become someone Bunnies can be proud of.”
“It’s been a tough time for us… but when we read your letters, it’s like you’re right in front of us, talking. It feels like you know us better than we know ourselves. It’s amazing.”
“When I read your words, I start understanding my own feelings better. That’s why your letters mean so much. Thank you, Bunnies.”
Despite their struggles, the members reassured fans with warm words filled with hope:
“We believe we’ll meet you again soon, so we’re not feeling down at all. The songs Bunnies love, the songs that bring joy, and the happy moments we’ll share together — they’ll come back.”
“I’m eating well, sleeping well, listening to music, spending time with my family and members… and always thinking of Bunnies. I hope you all stay happy and healthy too. I love you, Bunnies. YOU’RE MY UNIVERSE.”
Earlier on April 4, NewJeans renamed their official group SNS from ‘@njz_official’ to ‘@mhdhh_friends’ and deleted all past content, raising concerns among fans.
This came after news broke that the members had informed ADOR of their wish to terminate their exclusive contracts. While a court injunction blocked that move, the group is currently on a break from group activities.
On April 10, a closed hearing was held to address NewJeans’ objection to the injunction. The court session reportedly lasted only 10 minutes, with just the legal teams present. A final decision is expected soon.
ADOR’s legal representative commented briefly after the hearing, saying,
“Nothing has particularly changed since the injunction decision. Each side just shared their stance and finished.”
Fans continue to wait patiently, sending endless support as NewJeans navigates this uncertain time — and the members’ emotional message proves just how much that love is being felt.
