• Sunny Leaves SM Entertainment to join Lee Soo Man’s New Company – Here’s What She’s Doing Now

Sunny, a member of Girls' Generation, has made a big move by returning to work with her "uncle" Lee Soo Man.

On the 10th, A2O Entertainment officially announced that they’ve signed a contract with Sunny.

The company shared that she is currently undergoing producing training with the help of renowned producer Yoo Young Jin.

A2O also revealed that Sunny is actively involved in designing training programs for the agency’s trainees, providing psychological support, and participating in video content production.

She’s even guiding styling and choreography, showcasing her versatility behind the scenes.

A recent video posted on A2O Entertainment's YouTube channel showed Sunny visiting the trainees’ recording studio, sparking rumors that she might be helping Lee Soo Man, which has now been confirmed.

After Lee Soo Man sold his shares in SM Entertainment to HYBE in February 2023 and signed a non-compete agreement, he shifted his focus to A2O Entertainment in the U.S., where the company is now nurturing new trainees.

Sunny officially left SM Entertainment in August 2023 when her exclusive contract ended, but she continues to promote with Girls' Generation.

It’s also worth noting that Sunny is the daughter of Lee Soo Young, the CEO of Starworld, a company that produced the girl group Sugar. She’s well known as Lee Soo Man's niece, which makes this return to his side even more significant.

    Full Statement from A2O Entertainment:

"Sunny recently completed her contract with A2O Entertainment. She is currently undergoing producing training under the guidance of producer Yoo Young Jin, while also designing training programs for A2O trainees, providing psychological care, participating in video content filming, and guiding styling and choreography. We are always grateful for the warm interest in Sunny and will continue to present even better versions of her in the future. Thank you."
