Even while serving in the military, BTS’s Jungkook continues to dominate the global music scene, ranking in the Top 10 of the most preferred K-pop artists for two years straight!
In the 2025 Overseas Hallyu Survey (based on 2024 data), Jungkook secured 6th place (1.8%) in the “Most Preferred K-pop Singer” category.
This survey, announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, shows how strong his influence remains, even while he’s been serving in the military since the end of 2023.

Jungkook has proven his consistency, ranking 4th in the 2024 Overseas Hallyu Survey (based on 2023 data), and now with two consecutive years in the Top 10, it’s clear that his global popularity is unwavering.
His impact is also evident across continents. In the “Most Preferred Korean Singer by Continent” chart, Jungkook ranked 3rd in the Middle East (3.2%) and Africa (4.1%) in 2024, maintaining his top spots from the previous year.
He also placed 5th in Europe (1.6%), matching his 2023 ranking, showing just how recognized he is across the world.
In 2023, Jungkook also ranked 4th in the Americas, further solidifying his international fame. His hit song “Never Let Go,” released in June 2023, topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 96 countries — a huge achievement that was celebrated as one of the major “Annual Hallyu Issues.”
Jungkook is set to return from military service on June 11, 2025, and fans are eagerly awaiting his comeback.
