Actress Park Han Byul is back on screen and has shown her second son to the public for the first time, but the moment has brought mixed feelings due to her husband’s controversial past.
On April 8, TV CHOSUN’s reality show “Dad and I” aired Park Han Byul’s life on Jeju Island with her father. In the episode, viewers saw a rare glimpse into her family life — including her second child, who was born in 2022.
Park Han Byul was seen returning from a trip to the traditional market and preparing dinner at home. Meanwhile, her father lovingly looked after her baby boy, saying, “My grandson is full of charm. He really looks like Han Byul when she was little.”

Her second son quickly grabbed attention with his bright skin, big eyes, and a sharp nose — many said he looked just like a younger version of the actress. While the moment touched some viewers, not everyone felt comfortable.
The reason? Her husband, Yoo In Suk, is known for being heavily involved in the Burning Sun scandal, which also included former BIGBANG member Seungri. Yoo In Suk, the former CEO of Yuri Holdings, was accused of arranging prostitution services for foreign investors, among other serious crimes.
He received 1 year and 8 months in prison, suspended for 3 years, and another 6-month sentence, also suspended, for hiring gang members to threaten someone. His list of charges includes prostitution arrangements, embezzlement, food safety violations, and more.

Park Han Byul stopped all entertainment activities in 2019 after the scandal broke out. She moved to Jeju Island and opened a café, stepping away from the spotlight. She even wrote a letter asking for leniency during her husband’s trial.
Now, after six years, she’s making a quiet comeback to TV. But some viewers are expressing concern that showing her children publicly could hurt them in the future due to their father’s criminal history.
Park Han Byul opened up during the show and said, “It was my husband’s issue, but as his wife, I felt responsible too. I thought I’d never return to acting again. I started running a café, thinking that would be my new path. But people who remembered my dramas kept encouraging me. I thought everyone had left, but there were still people waiting for me, and that gave me strength.”
She added, “Coming back isn’t something I can do alone — people have to want to see me again.”
While some support her return and admire her honesty, others are still unsure about seeing her family on TV, especially with such a heavy past surrounding her husband.
