• NewJeans Suddenly Deletes all NJZ Posts and Changes SNS Name — Fans Confused after Surprise Move following “final stage” Comment

What’s going on with NewJeans? Fans were left confused after the girl group suddenly changed their SNS name and wiped out all their posts — possibly signaling the end of their short-lived name NJZ.

On April 4, the group’s unofficial social media account — which had introduced NJZ as their new name earlier this year — changed its handle to “mhdhh_friends.” The new name comes from the initials of the members’ English names: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

Not only that, all previous posts on the account were deleted, making fans wonder what happened to the NJZ era.

The social media account managed by the members’ parents, which had been posting official statements during the ongoing conflict with HYBE and ADOR, also changed its name to “mhdhh_pr.”

Just two months ago in February, NewJeans introduced NJZ through a new SNS account, saying,

“Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein’s new group name is NJZ. Please look forward to the surprising journey we’ll begin together with NJZ in 2025!”

But ADOR quickly responded with a warning, saying that NewJeans already had official accounts under the company and anything else was “unauthorized” and violated their exclusive contract.

    ADOR said:

“Any other SNS accounts were made without prior discussion and break the contract. This could confuse fans and advertisers, so we ask for caution.”

Even after the warning, the members moved forward with NJZ promotions. On March 23, they appeared at ComplexCon in Hong Kong and performed a new song. While on stage, they gave a heartfelt message that shook fans.

“Honestly, this might be our last stage. We've decided to pause all activities out of respect for the court's decision. It wasn't an easy choice, but we believe it's the right one for us right now,” they said.

Now, with the name NJZ suddenly gone and posts deleted, fans are questioning whether the group is preparing for another big move — or stepping away completely as they wait for the court’s final decision on their contract.
