The NewJeans contract dispute is getting more intense, and now, some fans have started a truck protest urging ADOR to talk things out.
On March 27, trucks were spotted in front of HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, displaying messages like “We respect NewJeans, but we can’t let them walk a dangerous path” and “NewJeans has 6 members, but the penalty is for 5.”
These protesting fans are worried about NewJeans’ decision to keep fighting the lawsuit despite the court already ruling in ADOR’s favor. They warn that if NewJeans loses the main case, the financial penalty could be massive.
The court previously dismissed the group’s claims for contract termination, raising concerns that the members could face even bigger disadvantages in the next trial.
NewJeans first notified ADOR of their contract termination last November and later rebranded as NJZ, preparing for independent activities.
However, the court sided with ADOR, stating there was "not enough reason to justify ending the contract." Despite this, NewJeans has filed an objection, and a new hearing is set for April 9.
The group firmly claims that “trust with ADOR is completely broken, and we cannot work together anymore.” But inside the fandom, opinions are split—some want to support the members no matter what, while others worry that “this fight might only hurt them in the end.”
