On March 28, reports revealed that Jun Ji Hyun is in discussions to star in the upcoming drama Human X Gumiho (working title).

Actor Ji Chang Wook is also reviewing the offer for the male lead, raising excitement about this potential A-list pairing.

The drama is the latest work from writer Im Me Ah Ri, who previously worked as an assistant under star screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, known for Goblin, Secret Garden, and The Glory. Im Me Ah Ri made her official debut with The Beauty Inside (2018) and gained more recognition with Doom at Your Service (2021).

Produced by HIGHRUN Studio—the company behind Hellbound 2 and Doctor SlumpHuman X Gumiho is expected to be a fresh take on the fantasy genre.

However, since the project is still in early development, the broadcasting schedule has not yet been decided.

Despite being in the industry for almost 30 years, Jun Ji Hyun has taken on fewer projects than some of her peers.
