• Jo Kwon randomly runs into ‘We Got Married’ wife Gain—ends up getting a sudden surge in copyright royalties

Jo Kwon recently reunited with his former We Got Married partner, Brown Eyed Girls' Gain, and something unexpected happened right after!

On the March 22 episode of JTBC’s Knowing Bros, the show featured a "guy best friend & girl best friend" special, with guests Sunye, Jo Kwon, Kwon Hyuk Soo, and Song Ga In.

During the show, Shindong brought up Jo Kwon’s connection with Gain, asking, “You met her again recently, right?”

Jo Kwon laughed and explained, “Yeah, it was totally random! We still keep in touch, but we don’t meet as often as we used to. But we just happened to run into each other in Garosu-gil. I was so happy to see her!”

He continued, “We caught up, and she told me she had never taken a four-cut photo before, so she really wanted to take one with me. We took the photo, and I shared the update."

He added, "Then, suddenly, ‘We Fell in Love’ started playing everywhere again, and one day, I received a huge copyright royalty payment out of nowhere.”

Hearing this, Lee Soo Geun jokingly said, “You should meet up more often then,” making everyone burst into laughter. Jo Kwon agreed, saying, “So we decided to keep meeting.”

Sunye also shared her thoughts on Gain, revealing, “At 2AM’s recent concert, Gain came, so I got to say hi after a long time."

She added, "But I was so busy when We Got Married was airing that I never watched it. I had no idea how close they were! I just thought it was all for the show, but they’re actually really close,” she said, playfully showing a hint of jealousy.

Fans were excited to hear about Jo Kwon and Gain’s reunion, with many reminiscing about their legendary chemistry from We Got Married.

  • Fans lose it after seeing IU, Kim Seon Ho, and more "When Life Gives You Tangerines" stars reunite at one special event

The When Life Gives You Tangerines cast melted fans’ hearts once again — this time off-screen!

On April 15, the VIP premiere of the film Yadang took place at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and it quickly turned into a Poksak reunion.

The event was already buzzing with big names like Uhm Tae Woong (who made his first appearance in 8 years), Lee Min Ho, Ha Ji Won, Lee Joo Young, Hyeri, Lee Yu Bi, Kim Sung Kyun, and even Single’s Inferno 4's Lee Si An.

But the surprise appearance of severalWhen Life Gives You Tangerines cast members made fans super emotional.

IU, who played Gwansik’s daughter Geum Myeong in the Netflix series, was spotted quietly entering the theater wearing a mask. A fan who noticed her shared a photo, writing, “Poksak daughter Geum Myeong is here!”

Kim Seon Ho also showed up and quickly got attention. Fans recognized him despite the mask and commented, “Chung Seop is here too!” and “Park Hae Joon’s son-in-law came!” Kim Seon Ho made a special appearance in the series as Geum Myeong’s husband.

Kang Yoo Seok, who played Eun Myeong Yi (Gwansik’s son), also came to support his on-screen dad. Fans left sweet comments like “The son is so thoughtful!”

And of course, Choi Dae Hoon — better known as “Hak Ssi Ahjussi” — made fans smile with his bright energy. People couldn’t stop talking about him, saying things like “He came to see his in-laws’ movie,” and “The whole When Life Gives You Tangerines family is here!”

Before the event, Park Hae Joon shared in an interview with Xports News that he wasn’t sure who would show up, saying, “Everyone’s really busy, so it depends on the situation. But I’d be really happy if we could meet again after a long time.”

Well, they did meet again — and fans couldn’t be happier.

In Poksak, Park Hae Joon played the loving father Gwansik, but in Yadang, he takes on a much tougher role as a drug squad detective who never gives up on catching criminals. His transformation is already gaining attention from fans eager to see him in a new light.
