• Kim Sae Ron’s Mother Breaks Silence on ‘Fake Aunt’ Controversy – Firmly Defends Her and Demands Apology from YouTuber A

The late actress Kim Sae Ron’s family has spoken out again regarding the ongoing controversy over a YouTuber’s claims about her so-called “fake aunt.”

On March 21, Kim Sae Ron’s mother released a statement through Garo Sero Research Institute (GSRI), addressing the accusations made by YouTuber A, whom the family previously sued for defamation.

Earlier, YouTuber A had announced plans to take legal action against multiple individuals, including Kim Sae Ron’s alleged aunt, GSRI’s Kim Se Ui, comedian Kwon Young Chan, and the family’s lawyer, Bu Ji Seok.

A clarified, “I am not suing the bereaved family. I am suing the person falsely claiming to be Kim Sae Ron’s aunt because she has been spreading false information about me.”

A also denied accusations that Kim Sae Ron took extreme measures after watching a video they posted on January 8, claiming, “At that time, Kim Sae Ron was in New York with her husband.” They further stated they would take strong legal action against those who accused them of being bribed by Gold Medalist to harass Kim Sae Ron.

In response, Kim Sae Ron’s mother firmly rejected the claims, stating, “A says, ‘I am suing Kim Sae Ron’s fake aunt.’ A, there is no such person. She is simply ‘Sae Ron’s aunt.’”

She continued, “Does it really matter whether she is a ‘real’ or ‘fake’ aunt? We met when Sae Ron was six years old, as fellow mothers of child actors. We helped each other, took turns with house chores, and supported each other for nearly 20 years. She became like family, someone my children trust and rely on.”

Kim Sae Ron’s mother further emphasized, “She has put her life on hold and stayed by my side for over a month since Sae Ron passed away. If that’s not an aunt, then what is?” She demanded that YouTuber A stop distorting the truth and issue an apology.

Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron’s family previously claimed through Garo Sero Research Institute that the actress had been in a long-term relationship with actor Kim Soo Hyun, starting when she was 15. They also alleged that after her 2022 DUI scandal, she was forced to repay a 700 million KRW (~$520,000) loan despite her financial struggles.

Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, initially denied these claims but later confirmed, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, after she became an adult.”

Regarding the repayment issue, the agency explained, “If we had covered Kim Sae Ron’s penalties, it could have been considered a breach of duty. Our actions were aimed at securing the company’s financial claims against her.”

The ongoing controversy continues to stir heated discussions online.

  • Yoo Seung Ho shows off rugged beard on TV and fans are loving this new mature vibe

On the latest episode of JTBC’s Battle! Paeng Bong Paeng Bong aired on April 19, actor Yoo Seung Ho showed up with a whole new vibe — a calm face, casual look, and a soft-growing beard that had everyone talking!

Appearing as a part-time helper for a fun cooking battle between married couple Paeng Hyun Sook and Lee Bong Won, Yoo Seung Ho teamed up with Kwak Dong Yeon to assist the two teams.

The pair helped with kitchen duties while also showing off their own cooking skills. Yoo Seung Ho whipped up spicy sea snail noodles (golbaengi somyeon), while Kwak Dong Yeon made his signature gochujang stew. The cast split up based on cooking abilities — Kwak Dong Yeon joined Park Mi Sun and Lee Bong Won, while Yoo Seung Ho sided with Paeng Hyun Sook and Choi Yang Rak.

Everyone was stunned when they learned Yoo Seung Ho is already 32 years old, saying he still looks like a baby-faced star! Park Mi Sun even pointed out that Kwak Dong Yeon is the same age as her son.

Later in the episode, Park Mi Sun stepped down from filming for health reasons, and comedian Lee Eun Ji came in as her replacement. She joked about being one year older than Yoo Seung Ho, and playfully made sure he knew it right away.

Because of long filming hours and travel, Yoo Seung Ho had grown a bit of facial hair. Kwak Dong Yeon teased him saying, “What are we gonna do about hyung’s beard?” But Lee Eun Ji was loving the new look! She said he reminded her of So Ji Sub from the hit drama I’m Sorry, I Love You. The production staff even added a hilarious caption: “Want to sell rice soup with me or die?” — referencing So Ji Sub’s legendary drama line.

Fans couldn’t get enough of Yoo Seung Ho’s chill new look, and many are already calling for a rugged drama comeback.
