• Park Seo Joon throwing shade at Kim Soo Hyun? - YouTuber claims their friendship is ‘worthless’ after his ‘Horizontal in Paris’ post

Actor Park Seo Joon is facing controversy over his relationship with Kim Soo Hyun.

On March 17, Kim Se Ui, the head of the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute (Garo Sero), brought up Park Seo Joon’s past interview and suggested that his friendship with Kim Soo Hyun might not be as strong as people think.

The interview in question was from October last year, when Park Seo Joon appeared on Jung Jae Hyung’s YouTube channel Fairy Jae Hyung.

At the time, Park Seo Joon revealed that Kim Soo Hyun helped him get into an agency after his military discharge.

He shared, “After my discharge, I got introduced to someone through a friend of a friend. That person was close to Kim Soo Hyun and asked him for a favor. Kim Soo Hyun introduced me to his agency.”

Park Seo Joon continued, “When I visited the company, the CEO immediately gave me a contract. He confidently said, ‘This is a standard contract, but if you’re unsure, you can check with a lawyer.’ It was my first time visiting an agency, so I told them I’d review it. The company was so big that I eventually signed with them.”

However, Kim Se Ui questioned their friendship, saying, “I checked Park Seo Joon’s Instagram last night. Don’t you think his latest post is quite interesting?”

On March 16, Park Seo Joon uploaded photos from his trip to Paris with the caption, ‘What did I do in Paris? Horizontal.’

Kim Se Ui then speculated that this caption could be a subtle reference to Garo Sero (which means ‘Horizontal and Vertical’ in Korean) or even a jab at Kim Soo Hyun. He explained, “Kim Soo Hyun’s old nickname was ‘YouTuber Kim Paris.’ He and actress Kim Sae Ron exchanged love letters in the past. Park Seo Joon’s caption, ‘What did I do in Paris? Horizontal,’ seems to be a hidden message.”

He even left a comment under Park Seo Joon’s post, writing, ‘YouTuber Kim Paris is being exposed by Garo Sero Research Institute. We will keep fighting to clear the injustice against actress Kim Sae Ron. Park Seo Joon, fighting!!!’

Kim Se Ui then mocked Park Seo Joon and Kim Soo Hyun’s friendship, saying, “It’s really worth less than a piece of paper.”

Meanwhile, some netizens argued that Park Seo Joon’s caption had nothing to do with Kim Soo Hyun and was simply referring to the way the photos were taken in a horizontal format.

On March 17, the late Kim Sae Ron’s family’s legal representative, Law Firm Buyou, held a press conference at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Attorney Bu Ji Seok revealed that they had filed a defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho for spreading false information.

He also claimed that after Kim Soo Hyun’s agency sent the first legal notice, Kim Sae Ron texted Kim Soo Hyun for help, but he did not respond. Instead, his agency sent a second legal notice.

As the controversy spreads, netizens are keeping a close eye on Park Seo Joon and Kim Soo Hyun’s next moves.
