• BTS J-Hope’s solo concert amazes foreign media—praised for his flawless dance, passion, and next-level stage presence

BTS member J-Hope is receiving rave reviews from international media for his solo concert.

On March 14–15, J-Hope successfully held his j-hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ in BROOKLYN at the Barclays Center in the U.S.

Both shows sold out, with a massive crowd of ARMYs filling the venue. J-Hope gave a high-energy performance, putting his all into every moment on stage.

American music outlet Consequence of Sound praised him, saying, “One of the reasons J-Hope’s performance is so special is that, despite the immense effort he must have put into preparing, he never appears exhausted.”

The article also highlighted, “From the dramatic opening performance under a bold red cloth to the 20-plus songs that followed, J-Hope delivered powerful choreography and a mesmerizing stage production—executing everything with ease. As the tour name HOPE ON THE STAGE suggests, he has returned to where he truly belongs.”

The outlet further emphasized, “J-Hope has always delivered confident performances. As BTS’s dance leader, he is detail-oriented and highly disciplined. He blends street dance with K-pop’s polished performance style, creating a smooth and captivating signature style of his own. It’s hard to imagine him anywhere but on stage.”

Meanwhile, Billboard highlighted seven standout moments from his concert, including his stage production, street dance skills, and the premiere of his new single.

The article stated, “J-Hope brought out everything—his early mixtape tracks, SoundCloud releases, BTS’s Billboard Hot 100 hits, and his latest solo single. He was like a fish in water, completely owning the stage and radiating hope, optimism, and passion like no one else.”

American magazine StyleCaster also had high praise, saying, “This tour marks a new era for J-Hope. He’s a multi-talented artist with an already solid solo career, and his creativity shines through.” It further described, “He showcases his roots and immense talent without hesitation, using the stage as his personal playground.”

This isn’t the first time J-Hope’s solo concert has received critical acclaim. His HOPE ON THE STAGE show in Seoul, held from February 28 to March 2 at KSPO Dome, received a perfect 5-star review from British music magazine NME.

J-Hope will continue his North American tour at Chicago’s Allstate Arena on March 18–19. He is also set to release his new song MONA LISA on March 21 at 1 PM KST. In April, he will make history as the first Korean solo artist to hold a solo concert at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium on April 5 and 7.

  • Gong Hyo Jin shares honest thoughts on 'When the Stars Gossip', says she's worried people wouldn’t understand it

Actress Gong Hyo Jin recently opened up about how difficult it was to film her drama When the Stars Gossip, which aired on tvN and ended last February.

On April 20, Gong Hyo Jin uploaded a new video on her YouTube channel For Now Gong Hyo Jin, where she talked honestly about the experience.

She shared, “Everything about making this drama felt new.” She continued, “I wondered, ‘Do they really have to film this far in advance?’ Some parts needed two years of post-production. The story was also very difficult, and I thought viewers might have a hard time understanding it.”

Gong Hyo Jin revealed that almost the entire drama took place in space. “To be honest, except for one episode out of 16, everything was set in space,” she said. “Filming the zero-gravity scenes took so much time. Just one episode took over two months to film.”

She added that the filming process was physically hard too. “If I was filming for 15 hours while hanging on wires, half of that time I was literally in the air,” she explained. “My blood wouldn’t circulate properly, and I had to shout, ‘Please let me down!’ It’s crazy that I did this for a whole year.”

Even with all the struggles, Gong Hyo Jin still found meaning in the experience. “Of course the actors worked hard, but I think the staff suffered even more,” she said. “After it all ended, I felt like I really worked hard too.” Then she laughed and added, “I don’t think anyone will dare to make a space drama for a while.”

When the Stars Gossip was a 50 billion won project with a high budget. It told the story of Boss Eve (played by Gong Hyo Jin), who works at a zero-gravity space station, and Gong Ryong, a mysterious man with a secret mission.

However, the drama didn’t do well. Many viewers criticized the confusing plot and poor CGI. The space bed scenes in the early episodes were also mocked and caused many people to stop watching. The last episode, where Eve dies after giving birth, was especially criticized.
