• Lee Yi Kyung Shockingly Reveals He’s 500 Million KRW in Debt After Buying Property on a Friend’s Advice—But Its Value Dropped by Half

Actor Lee Yi Kyung recently opened up about his massive debt, revealing that he borrowed 500 million KRW to buy a commercial property—only for its value to plummet.

On the March 15 episode of MBC’s Hangout with Yoo, the cast members took part in a temple stay experience called I Am a Temple to find a partner.

During the show, Lee Yi Kyung fully embraced the concept and introduced himself, sharing his thoughts on relationships and personal struggles.

When asked about his ideal type, he said, “Someone who takes good care of the family and understands my work.”

But comedian Heo Kyung Hwan wasn’t having it and jokingly called him out, saying, “That sounds like your dad’s ideal type—tell us yours. Don’t be so patriarchal!”

Lee Yi Kyung also talked about wanting a big family, revealing, “I want to have lots of kids with the person I love. Three is just the starting point.”

Yoo Jae Suk then asked, “What if your partner doesn’t agree?” to which Lee Yi Kyung confidently replied, “I’ll have to convince her.”

But the conversation took a serious turn when Joo Woo Jae brought up Lee Yi Kyung’s past confession about being scammed. He asked, “So, exactly how much debt do you have?”

Looking flustered, Lee Yi Kyung hesitated before admitting, “A friend recommended I buy a commercial property, so I took out a 500 million KRW loan to purchase it. But its value got cut in half.”

Despite the financial hit, the actor remained positive, saying, “I may be in debt, but I just have to keep working hard and living my life.”

Fans were shocked by his honesty, with many sending words of encouragement. Hopefully, his hard work pays off, and he bounces back soon!
