• BLACKPINK’s Jennie Reveals She’s a CEO With 15 Employees, Talks About the Big Risk She Took to Go Independent

BLACKPINK member Jennie opened up about her life after going independent and starting her own company!

On March 9, a new episode featuring Jennie was uploaded to the YouTube channel Fairy Jaehyung.

During the conversation, Jung Jae Hyung brought up Jennie’s recent overseas interview and praised her, saying, “Just like you said, it seems like you’ve really learned how to find yourself. Do you think you realized this more after going solo?”

Jennie nodded and shared, “That’s right. I was surprised by myself too. Before, I used to share responsibilities with my members, but now I have to handle everything on my own.”

Jung Jae Hyung then pointed out that Jennie now has a whole team working under her. When he asked how many people are in her company, Jennie revealed, “Right now, there are about 15 people.”

The conversation then shifted to the challenges of running a company, especially the high costs of album production. Jennie admitted, “When I decided to start my own company and go independent, I had a lot of discussions with my mom. There was something we both agreed on.”

She continued, “If there’s something I really want to do or a dream I want to achieve, I should see it through to the end. If I don’t want to do it afterward, then I don’t have to. But it wouldn’t be right to just complain or have regrets without even trying.” She added, “That’s why I invest a lot in myself.”

Meanwhile, in December 2023, Jennie officially launched ODD ATELIER (OA), her own one-person agency, with her mother. She is currently active as both an artist and CEO of the company.

On April 15, the VIP premiere of the film Yadang took place at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and it quickly turned into a Poksak reunion.

The event was already buzzing with big names like Uhm Tae Woong (who made his first appearance in 8 years), Lee Min Ho, Ha Ji Won, Lee Joo Young, Hyeri, Lee Yu Bi, Kim Sung Kyun, and even Single’s Inferno 4's Lee Si An.

But the surprise appearance of severalWhen Life Gives You Tangerines cast members made fans super emotional.

IU, who played Gwansik’s daughter Geum Myeong in the Netflix series, was spotted quietly entering the theater wearing a mask. A fan who noticed her shared a photo, writing, “Poksak daughter Geum Myeong is here!”

Kim Seon Ho also showed up and quickly got attention. Fans recognized him despite the mask and commented, “Chung Seop is here too!” and “Park Hae Joon’s son-in-law came!” Kim Seon Ho made a special appearance in the series as Geum Myeong’s husband.
