  • Sunny’s surprise appearance at her uncle Lee Soo Man’s company has fans talking about her future plans

Girls' Generation's Sunny was recently spotted supporting K-pop trainees at A2O Entertainment, the company started by her famous uncle, producer Lee Soo Man. This happened after she officially left SM Entertainment in August 2023.

On April 7, A2O Entertainment shared a video titled “A2O Trainees 'A2O Summer Training Camp 2024' Highlights” on their official YouTube channel. The video showed A2O trainees heading to the United States for a special training camp.

Fans were surprised when Sunny suddenly appeared in the video. She was seen visiting the recording studio and watching the trainees record music. Sitting in front of the console, she smiled warmly as she monitored their work, showing her full support.

After the video was released, some netizens began wondering if Sunny is now working with her uncle behind the scenes. Many believe she might be helping him with music-related projects.

For those who don’t know, Sunny is the youngest daughter of Lee Soo Young, who is Lee Soo Man’s older brother. Lee Soo Young is also well-known in the industry as the CEO of Starworld, a company that debuted the girl group Sugar in the early 2000s. Sugar had popular members like Hwang Jung Eum and Ayumi.

A2O Entertainment is Lee Soo Man’s new project after he sold his shares in SM Entertainment to HYBE in 2023. Because of a non-compete agreement, he can't produce music in Korea for three years, so he’s now focusing on trainees based in the U.S.

Even though Sunny left SM, she hasn’t cut ties with Girls' Generation. Back in January, all eight members reunited and shared a group photo, warming fans' hearts.

Fans are now curious about Sunny’s next steps and whether this could mean a new chapter in her career—maybe as a mentor or producer?
