• ‘Single’s Inferno 4’ Star Lee Si An Reveals the Dark Side of Trainee Life—Says She Wasn’t Allowed to Perform at MAMA if She Weighed Over 60kg

'Single’s Inferno 4' contestant Lee Si An is getting attention for her shocking past as a trainee, revealing extreme dieting struggles she endured just to fit industry standards.

On February 28, the YouTube channel ‘Ttizip’ featured Lee Si An, where she got real about her time as a K-pop trainee.

She shared heartbreaking details about how she was pressured to lose weight, even starving for days to meet weight requirements.

During the conversation, former Idol School contestant Natty recalled her first impression of Lee Si An, saying, “She was pretty.”

But Lee Si An wasn’t having it and laughed, saying, “Don’t lie. I weighed 63kg back then.” The two met when they were 16 and 19, and have stayed friends for eight years.

Lee Si An then dropped a shocking story about her past. She revealed, “Before going backstage at the 2017 MAMA awards, our company’s CEO told me, ‘If you weigh over 60kg, you can’t go.’”

She continued, “I had to starve myself for almost a week. I felt dizzy and weak, but I had no choice but to endure it.”

Natty added to the heartbreaking story, revealing how tough things were for Lee Si An. “That’s why I helped her put on her pants. Our practice room was on a hill, so I kept pushing her up from behind,” she said, making fans emotional.

Lee Si An also explained why she eventually left idol training and switched to modeling. “I was a trainee until I was 24, but I wanted to start earning money. I couldn’t keep using my mom’s credit card forever,” she admitted.

Despite the struggles, she has no regrets. “If I hadn’t worked hard, I might have regrets. But I always gave my best, so I don’t have any lingering feelings,” she said.

She also shared why she decided to join Single’s Inferno 4. “I had been getting offers for dating shows for a while, but I was always in a relationship. This was the first time in a long while that I was actually single, so I thought it was a rare opportunity,” she laughed.

Lee Si An enjoyed her time on the show, saying, “I’ve always liked watching dating programs, but being on one myself was really fun and interesting. Honestly, I wanted to stay there longer.”

Meanwhile, Single’s Inferno 4 continues to be a massive hit on Netflix, with Lee Si An gaining love from fans for her honest personality and confident attitude.
