• Song Hye Kyo Shares How She Finally Put Herself First and Became Stronger—‘I Used to Live for Others’

Song Hye Kyo is proving that age is just a number as she graces the cover of Vogue Hong Kong!

The actress showed off her stunning visuals in the magazine’s March issue, rocking a short haircut and bold smoky makeup that left fans in awe.

In the interview, Song Hye Kyo reflected on her acting journey, sharing how she finally got the chance to step into different genres with The Glory.

She revealed, “I had opportunities to do genre dramas before, but they never worked out. Since I did a lot of melodramas, I kept getting similar roles.”

However, she explained that pushing her boundaries as an actress is what truly excites her.

Her next project, Netflix’s Show Business, will show yet another new side of her. She described her character, Min Ja, as a woman who has faced hardships since childhood but still throws herself into the Korean music industry without hesitation. “I think this role will allow me to show something different from before,” she said.

Fans have also been wondering if she’ll ever return to romantic comedies. Song Hye Kyo fondly recalled her time filming Full House, saying, “Back then, the director told me to let go and have fun, so I improvised a lot, and it became a great experience. If there’s a fun and realistic project that suits me in my 40s, I’d love to try rom-com again.”

At 44, the actress is embracing aging with confidence. She shared, “I’ve lived through my 20s and 30s to become who I am today. Since we all age together, I don’t fear growing older. But because my job depends on my looks, I do have to take care of myself.”

She also revealed a change in mindset over the years. “I used to prioritize the happiness of my friends, family, and loved ones over my own. But one day, I realized I had never truly put myself first. Since then, I started focusing on myself more, and that has actually made me emotionally stronger.”

As for how she spends her time outside of acting, Song Hye Kyo shared that she loves painting. “I don’t paint with the goal of finishing something. It’s just about the process, and it really clears my mind.”

With a new drama, a fearless mindset, and her timeless beauty, Song Hye Kyo continues to captivate fans worldwide!
