On February 26, KBS confirmed that the popular actor will lead the highly anticipated seventh season of The Seasons, making history as the show’s first-ever actor MC.

The new season, officially titled Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile, was personally named by Park Bo Gum, inspired by the musical term “cantabile,” meaning “in a singing style.”

The title also brings back memories of his role in the KBS2 music drama Tomorrow Cantabile, which aired 11 years ago.

Since its launch in 2022, The Seasons has featured top stars as hosts, including Jay Park, Choi Jung Hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, Zico, and Lee Young Ji, each bringing their own unique style. Now, with Park Bo Gum taking over, fans are excited to see what kind of charm he will bring to the show!

Beyond acting, Park Bo Gum has always had a deep passion for music. He has participated in OSTs, released music, and even performed in musicals.

Fans have also seen him play the piano and sing on KBS music shows like Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook and The Seasons – Zico’s Artist. A recent teaser even showed him dancing, raising curiosity about what kind of performances he’ll bring to the stage!

While he’s already proven his hosting skills on Music Bank, Baeksang Arts Awards, and MAMA, this will be his first time leading a full-fledged music program.

Reports say he is preparing for his first recording with great excitement, as being part of a music show has been a longtime dream of his.

With Lee Young Ji’s The Seasons – Rainbow recently wrapping up with a tearful farewell, all eyes are now on Park Bo Gum to see how he will make the show his own.

Meanwhile, The Seasons – Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile will premiere on White Day, March 14, at 10 PM KST on KBS 2TV. Are you excited for this new season?
