• "History Maker" BTS's Jimin Smashes Billboard Records Again as ‘Who’ Charts for 30 Weeks

BTS’s Jimin is proving once again why he’s called a ‘history maker’ in K-pop! His latest achievements on the Billboard charts are setting new records and making history.

According to the latest update from Billboard, Jimin’s solo song Who, from his album MUSE, ranked No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100.

With this, Who has now spent 30 weeks on the chart, making it the third longest-charting K-pop song ever, following BTS’s Dynamite (32 weeks) and PSY’s Gangnam Style (31 weeks). If Who continues its streak, Jimin could soon break the all-time record!

Not only that, but Jimin has become the only Korean artist to have both group and solo songs chart on the Hot 100 for 30 weeks or more. This also means BTS is the only K-pop group where a member has reached this milestone with a solo track.

But that’s not all—Jimin’s album MUSE is also soaring! It climbed 23 spots from last week to rank No. 109 on the Billboard 200, marking 31 consecutive weeks on the chart. This makes MUSE the first and only K-pop solo album to spend 31 weeks on the Billboard 200, as well as the only 2024 K-pop album to achieve this feat.

Jimin continues to dominate the Billboard Artist 100 as well. Jumping four spots to No. 79, he now holds the record as the longest-charting K-pop soloist with 38 weeks on the chart. He also remains the highest-ranked Korean solo artist ever on the Artist 100.

His impact extends across multiple Billboard charts:
Who ranked No. 27 on the Global 200
No. 28 on the Global Excluding U.S. chart
No. 29 on the Streaming Songs chart

Meanwhile, MUSE has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard World Albums chart for the fifth time! With this, Jimin now ties his first solo album FACE, which also topped the chart five times, making both albums the most No. 1-ranked K-pop solo albums in Billboard history.

With FACE and MUSE each reaching the top five times, Jimin has now hit No. 1 on the World Albums chart a total of 10 times, making him the first and only K-pop soloist to achieve this!

Jimin continues to prove his global power, rewriting history on the Billboard charts with every move. What record will he break next?

  • Min Hee Jin says she won’t apologize as ex-ADOR employee demands over $70K for emotional damage

The legal battle between former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and a former ADOR employee, known as "A", is still far from over.

On May 26, the Seoul Western District Court’s 21st Civil Division will hold the second hearing in a damages lawsuit filed by A. The lawsuit demands about 100 million KRW (approximately $73,000 USD) from Min Hee Jin.

This all began in August of last year when A accused Min Hee Jin of defamation and violating personal information laws, and filed both criminal and civil complaints.

A claims they experienced workplace bullying and sexual harassment by ADOR’s former deputy CEO, "B", and said that Min Hee Jin, who was the CEO at the time, tried to cover it up instead of taking action.

Min Hee Jin strongly denied the claims. She responded by releasing private chat logs between her and A, along with an 18-page written statement defending her position.

Back in January, both sides joined a court-led mediation session in an attempt to settle the civil case. A’s side said they would consider settling if Min Hee Jin apologized.

However, Min Hee Jin's side declined, firmly stating, “We cannot admit to any of the claims,” and the talks broke down.

During the first hearing in March, the court told both parties to organize their arguments and submit their opinions on the evidence, which the court will now review in the upcoming second hearing.

The case has drawn attention as it involves serious accusations and one of the most high-profile figures in the K-pop industry.
