  • Min Hee Jin Found Not Guilty After Shocking Accusations from Former NewJeans Manager

The Ministry of Employment and Labor has concluded that there are no charges against former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin regarding claims made by a former NewJeans manager.

According to Chosun Biz on February 24, the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office investigated the complaint but found no evidence to support the allegations.

Because of this, the case was closed without charges. Officials explained that they couldn't confirm workplace harassment based on the materials provided.

The former manager, known as A, claimed that in December last year, they were called into a meeting under the pretense of work, only to be handed a suspension notice and ordered to return a company laptop that was at their home.

A alleged they were confined for about three hours despite asking to leave and were forced to hand over their personal phone. They reported CEO Min for workplace harassment, claiming coercion and wrongful detention.

NewJeans members also raised concerns in a previous statement, saying, "We saw managers and performance directors, who help us with our schedules, being forced to give up their laptops and interrogated to the point of tears."

They also criticized HYBE, saying, "It's incredibly hard to accept how unethical and inhumane this company is, and it pains us to know that we are not the only ones suffering."

ADOR, however, defended its actions, saying the manager had secretly contacted advertisers to facilitate direct deals between brands and the group without going through the company.

"This is a serious business misconduct that goes against the artist’s exclusive contract," ADOR stated.

The company also denied claims of unlawful confinement, saying, "We had to suspend the employee and request the return of company property, but there was no coercion. We also gave them chances to explain, but they refused all interview requests".
