IVE continues to dominate the global music scene, securing a spot on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)’s Global Album Sales Chart for the second year in a row—this time with their highest ranking yet!

On February 18 (local time), IFPI officially announced the Global Album Sales Chart 2024, and IVE’s second mini-album, ‘IVE SWITCH,’ landed at No. 7. This marks their second consecutive year on the chart, and what’s even more impressive? They’ve now charted three albums in a row!

Last year, IVE made their IFPI debut with their first mini-album ‘I’VE MINE’ (No. 9) and their first full album ‘I’VE IVE’ (No. 17). But this year, they’ve shattered their own record by ranking even higher with ‘IVE SWITCH’!

The Global Album Sales Chart ranks albums based on worldwide physical sales and digital downloads each year. By making the list again, IVE has solidified their position as one of the top-selling girl groups in the world right now!

Released in April 2024, ‘IVE SWITCH’ captures themes of self-discovery and transformation, keeping IVE’s signature confident and empowering identity at its core. The album made a huge impact from day one, selling over 1.31 million copies in its first week on Hanteo Chart, officially earning IVE another million-seller title.

Their album success also led to major wins, including ‘Artist of the Year Bonsang’ at the Hanteo Music Awards 2024 and a Bonsang at the 39th Golden Disc Awards!

Beyond album sales, IVE is proving their global superstar status by getting invited to major international music festivals. The group is set to perform at Lollapalooza Paris on July 20, sharing the stage with Justin Timberlake, Tems, and Joé Dwèt Filé!

Just recently, IVE wrapped up promotions for their third mini-album ‘IVE EMPATHY’, which sold over 1.04 million copies in its first week, making them a five-time million-seller group! Shim Hyung Tak has introduced his newborn son, and people can’t stop talking about how much he resembles BTS’s Jungkook!

On the February 26 episode of Channel A’s Men’s Life These Days: Groom Class, the show gave viewers an update on Shim Hyung Tak and his wife Saya after they welcomed their baby boy.

During the show, Lee Seung Chul couldn’t help but notice how exhausted Shim looked from parenting duties.

Shim explained, “I was up with the baby until 6:30 AM today. I take care of him from 11 PM to 7 AM while my wife sleeps. Then, when she wakes up, I sleep, and we take turns raising him together.”

Shim also opened up about his wife’s tough labor experience. He shared, “She was in labor for 12 hours. A nurse even told me, ‘The mother was incredible. She endured the pain without even groaning.’” He expressed how grateful he was to his wife for her strength.

As the couple moved into a postpartum care center, they finally revealed their baby’s face for the first time. The cast members were in awe, exclaiming, “He’s so beautiful!”

Moon Se Yoon couldn’t hold back his reaction and joked, “He looks exactly like his mom and dad. Did he get a nose job before he was born?”

Shim Jin Hwa then made a surprising comment, saying, “I think he looks more like BTS’s Jungkook than his dad.” To this, Shim Hyung Tak laughed and replied, “I hope so.” Moon Se Yoon added, “He’s definitely going to be more handsome than you.”

Fans are already excited to see more of Shim Hyung Tak’s son, wondering if he’ll grow up to be as charming as Jungkook!
