
Actor Shim Hyung Tak is back in action after a four-year break, and fans couldn’t be more excited! Not only has he made a grand return to acting, but he's also celebrating the birth of his son.
According to his agency, HM Entertainment, Shim Hyung Tak has been cast in the upcoming Content Wave drama Reverse, set to air later this year. The mystery thriller, produced by Another Pictures, Outrun Brothers Pictures, and Naega Miraeda, follows the gripping story of Myo-jin (Seo Ji Hye), who loses her memory after a mysterious explosion at a villa, and her fiancé Junho (Ko Soo), the heir to Seokwang Group, as they uncover shocking truths behind the disaster.
Reverse is based on the hit 2022 Naver VIBE audio movie, which received rave reviews for its voice performances. Now, the story is getting an exciting 8-episode drama adaptation.

Shim Hyung Tak will play Detective Woo, a character investigating the traffic accident that involves Myo-jin. Despite months passing, Myo-jin has no memory of the incident, sparking Detective Woo’s suspicions. His determination to uncover the connection between the accident and the explosion will surely keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
This marks Shim Hyung Tak’s return to drama since his role in Times in 2021. But that’s not all—he's also enjoying the joy of fatherhood after welcoming his son with his Japanese wife, Hirai Saya. After a year and a half of marriage, his life just got even more exciting!
