Actor Shim Hyung Tak is back in action after a four-year break, and fans couldn’t be more excited! Not only has he made a grand return to acting, but he's also celebrating the birth of his son.

According to his agency, HM Entertainment, Shim Hyung Tak has been cast in the upcoming Content Wave drama Reverse, set to air later this year. The mystery thriller, produced by Another Pictures, Outrun Brothers Pictures, and Naega Miraeda, follows the gripping story of Myo-jin (Seo Ji Hye), who loses her memory after a mysterious explosion at a villa, and her fiancé Junho (Ko Soo), the heir to Seokwang Group, as they uncover shocking truths behind the disaster.

Reverse is based on the hit 2022 Naver VIBE audio movie, which received rave reviews for its voice performances. Now, the story is getting an exciting 8-episode drama adaptation.

Shim Hyung Tak will play Detective Woo, a character investigating the traffic accident that involves Myo-jin. Despite months passing, Myo-jin has no memory of the incident, sparking Detective Woo’s suspicions. His determination to uncover the connection between the accident and the explosion will surely keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

This marks Shim Hyung Tak’s return to drama since his role in Times in 2021. But that’s not all—he's also enjoying the joy of fatherhood after welcoming his son with his Japanese wife, Hirai Saya. After a year and a half of marriage, his life just got even more exciting!

HM Entertainment shared their excitement, stating, “Shim Hyung Tak’s return to drama will add a mature touch to Reverse, bringing more tension and depth to the story. We can’t wait for everyone to see his passionate performance!”

Actor Lee Yi Kyung surprised viewers by revealing his extremely frugal lifestyle, which he says comes from his father.

On the February 20 episode of tvN STORY’s A Billion-Won Breakfast, Lee Yi Kyung’s simple morning routine was shown.

Appearing on camera with a sleepy, puffy face, he laughed and said, “I look terrible. This is the real me.”

Dr. Oh Eun Young was surprised to see him waking up early at 6 AM, but Lee Yi Kyung explained, “I can’t sleep in.”

What caught the most attention was how he stayed warm in the winter. Instead of using the boiler, he turned on a small heater.

He said, “My father always did this. Even now, he wears a lightweight padded jacket at home. He says wearing one in winter is enough to stay warm.”

Hearing this, Dr. Oh Eun Young commented, “If you catch a cold, the medical expenses will cost more. Being frugal is good, but this might make marriage difficult.”

Lee Yi Kyung responded with a laugh, saying, “People say that a lot. But whoever marries me can just turn on the boiler. I’ll just turn it off in my own space.”
