• Hwasa Exposes the Real Reason She Stopped Answering Park Na Rae’s Calls: “I Knew It”

MAMAMOO’s Hwasa has finally spilled the truth about why she refuses to answer Park Na Rae’s calls anymore—and her reason has everyone cracking up!

On the February 18 episode of U+ original variety show Let’s Be Friendly 4, Hwasa appeared as a special guest alongside MCs Han Hye Jin, Park Na Rae, Poongja, and Um Ji Yoon. The group had a hilarious discussion about their biggest fears, revealing some unexpected (and funny) phobias.

When the topic of fears came up, Park Na Rae confessed, "I have a severe fear of birds," even recalling a past moment when she couldn’t even look at chicken feet on the show. However, Poongja playfully pointed out, "But you eat fried chicken, right?" making everyone burst into laughter over her selective fear.

Han Hye Jin then admitted, "I can’t handle mascot costumes! I can’t even go near them," shocking the others. Even the famous character Pengsoo is too much for her! Poongja immediately related, saying, "I totally get it!"

Meanwhile, Hwasa revealed that she has trypophobia—the fear of small holes. Her confession left Han Hye Jin in shock, who jokingly replied, "That must make life so much easier for you!"

Then came the highlight of the show—Park Na Rae brought up her past calls to Hwasa, revealing that the two became close through The Ladies’ Secret Party. She apologized for only reaching out when she needed something, but Hwasa assured her, "I actually like that you’re straightforward. I find empty pleasantries more uncomfortable."

But then Hwasa dropped a bombshell! She revealed that she used to answer Park Na Rae’s late-night calls but suddenly decided, "I’m never picking up again!"

Her reason? "Na Rae unnie used to call me late at night, and one time I thought, ‘I can’t do this anymore,’ so I ignored it. But she got upset. One night, I saw a call from her and thought, ‘It’s that time again, she must be drunk,’ but I still picked up. And, as expected, Um Ji Yoon answered instead! That’s when I made up my mind—I’m never picking up again!"

Her hilarious story left everyone in stitches, proving once again why Hwasa is a variety show queen!

Meanwhile, Let’s Be Friendly 4 drops new episodes every Monday and Tuesday.
