• G-Dragon Takes Over the Rankings, "Good Day" Dominates From the First Week -Here's Why Everyone's Talking About It

Good Day is making waves and showing just how powerful G-Dragon's influence truly is! The new show has soared to the top of the popularity charts right from its first week of broadcast.

According to the February second-week popularity survey by Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex, Good Day ranked 2nd in the TV-OTT non-drama category. It was especially impressive in the news category, where it ranked #1, and it also claimed the top spot in the TV Sunday category, proving just how much of an impact it’s making.

G-Dragon’s star power is undeniable, as he topped the non-drama cast section in the popularity rankings, while Kim Soo Hyun and Jeong Hyeong Don also ranked highly at 7th and 11th, respectively, showing that the entire cast is drawing major attention.

The buzz around Good Day didn’t stop there! A video of G-Dragon, Jeong Hyeong Don, and Defconn reuniting after 11 years at Dongmyo has already surpassed 1.3 million views (as of the 18th) and topped YouTube's trending charts.

The song Butterfly, which was a favorite of Ki-an 84 during the broadcast, also hit #1 on Melon, Korea’s largest music platform. This has only added to the massive attention G-Dragon and BigBang are receiving, with both trending on Melon’s popular search list!

On top of that, Good Day continues to take over various social media platforms, with fans posting reviews and related videos everywhere, helping the show gain even more momentum.

In terms of viewership, Good Day has made an explosive debut. It topped the 2049 ratings, a key indicator of a program’s competitiveness, beating out both dramas and variety shows on Sunday. The show hit its highest viewership during the '88 Country' preview scene, featuring stars like G-Dragon, Kim Soo Hyun, Jeong Hae In, and others, with a peak rating of 6.2% (based on Nielsen Korea’s metropolitan area data).

The show’s OTT debut on Disney+ was just as impressive, quickly ranking 1st on the platform’s ‘Today’s Top 10 in Korea,’ showing just how much attention it’s getting from domestic subscribers.

Good Day’s first episode, which aired on the 16th, brought together legendary figures like G-Dragon, Jeong Hyeong Don, Defconn, Code Kunst, Cho Se Ho, and others, while also featuring real fans like Ki-an 84 and the iconic actor Kim Soo Hyun.

The show, which airs every Sunday at 9:10 PM, follows G-Dragon as he collaborates with influential figures from various fields to create the song of the year – and it’s already proving to be a major hit.

  • NewJeans' Fandom Divided Over Lawsuit — Truck Protest Outside HYBE Raises Concerns about Massive Financial Penalties

The NewJeans contract dispute is getting more intense, and now, some fans have started a truck protest urging ADOR to talk things out.

On March 27, trucks were spotted in front of HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, displaying messages like “We respect NewJeans, but we can’t let them walk a dangerous path” and NewJeans has 6 members, but the penalty is for 5.”

These protesting fans are worried about NewJeans’ decision to keep fighting the lawsuit despite the court already ruling in ADOR’s favor. They warn that if NewJeans loses the main case, the financial penalty could be massive.

The court previously dismissed the group’s claims for contract termination, raising concerns that the members could face even bigger disadvantages in the next trial.

NewJeans first notified ADOR of their contract termination last November and later rebranded as NJZ, preparing for independent activities.

However, the court sided with ADOR, stating there was "not enough reason to justify ending the contract." Despite this, NewJeans has filed an objection, and a new hearing is set for April 9.

The group firmly claims that “trust with ADOR is completely broken, and we cannot work together anymore.” But inside the fandom, opinions are split—some want to support the members no matter what, while others worry that “this fight might only hurt them in the end.”
