K-pop powerhouse IVE (Ahn Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo) just pulled off an incredible achievement—competing against themselves for the top spot on a music show!
On the February 14 episode of KBS2TV’s Music Bank, IVE’s pre-release track “REBEL HEART” and title track “ATTITUDE” from their third mini-album IVE EMPATHY went head-to-head for No.1. Fans were hyped to see which song would take the crown, as “REBEL HEART” had already scored a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) on Korean charts, while “ATTITUDE” was climbing rapidly.
Before the winner was announced, IVE’s members split into two teams to cheer for each track, making the friendly competition even more exciting. In the end, “REBEL HEART” took the win, marking its 10th music show trophy! With “ATTITUDE”’s previous win, this brings IVE EMPATHY’s total to 11 trophies so far! ?
Through their agency Starship Entertainment, IVE expressed their gratitude, saying, “It felt surreal to see both ‘REBEL HEART’ and ‘ATTITUDE’ nominated for No.1. This isn’t the first time IVE has competed against themselves. In 2023, their album I’ve IVE saw “Kitsch” and “I AM” battling for No.1, proving their massive influence. Now, they’ve done it again with “REBEL HEART” and “ATTITUDE”, showing why they’re the reigning digital queens.
“REBEL HEART” continues to dominate, holding the No.1 spot on Korean music charts and making waves globally. The song has been on the Billboard Global 200 and Global (Excl. U.S.) charts for three consecutive weeks and even ranked on the UK Official Singles Sales and Downloads Charts, proving IVE’s growing international impact.
